Day 5: T Group

Thursday October 18th, we have the OK and it feels good.  The New Children's Museum Curators, along with a few other SDSU Art Department Faculty/Students, came in today to check out our progress on The Cardboard Lounge.

We started out the morning setting up the room by moving tables, sweeping and laying electrical tape out on the floor to represent the space we would be working with in the NCM.  We set up our prototypes (along with the models [1/4 inch to scale] to match) to give the audience a good visual of what we already have as well as what is to come in the future.

The critique started at 9:00 AM we gave a brief overview of what our goals were for this project and how we have accomplished them so far, and how we will continue to do so in the future.  The questions we received about durability, versatility, and space were all good to have because we were able to get new ideas, recommendations, and solutions to things, we as a collective group hadn't necessarily discussed or thought about yet.  Below is the list of the issues we addressed.

After all the serious stuff was analyzed it was time to have a little fun. Everyone got the chance to explore their inner child on all of our newly created cardboard furniture. Our rocker was a hit!!

Until next time, Kelly O'Sullivan.
